When people believe their metabolism is “slow,” that’s another way of saying “my body doesn’t burn that many calories a day.” People who can eat a pint of Haagen Daz a day without gaining weight are considered to have a fast metabolism, but you’re about to learn that it’s not that easy.
But are some people blessed with a “fast metabolism” and others not? I’ll get back to you in a minute.
Fast Metabolism Symptoms
BMR is the number of calories your body uses for its basic functions – to keep your heart rate up, temperature stable, your brain working, and keeping you alive. BMR is the largest user of calories we take in, up to 60% of our total calories (and up to 80% from what I’ve read) is used for heating’ your body is not resting.
