Top All Time Nba Players – The 2019-20 NBA season was in full swing before it was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. After more than two months without playing, fans around the world were hungry for basketball; luckily, here’s the ESPN documentary The Last Dance.

The 10-episode series about NBA legend Michael Jordan and the six championship Chicago Bulls teams of the 1990s gave fans something to look forward to every Sunday night during the sports hiatus.

Jordan is considered by many to be the greatest basketball player of all time. And in honor of one of the most iconic athletes in professional sports, we’ve decided to compile a list of the 23 greatest players in NBA history.

Dwyane Wade: Recognized as one of the greatest shooting guards of all time, Wade was the fifth overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. In his third season, he led the Miami Heat to its first championship in franchise history and was named the 2006 NBA Finals MVP. Wade finished his career as a three-time NBA champion and 13-time NBA All-Star.

ELGIN BAYLOR: The first overall pick in the 1958 NBA Draft by the Minneapolis Lakers, Baylor was an 11-time NBA All-Star and 10-time All-NBA First Team. Baylor has made eight NBA Finals appearances but has not won a championship.

JOHN STOCKTON: Another great player who didn’t win a championship in his Hall of Fame career, Stockton spent his 19-year career with the Utah Jazz. He led consecutive NBA Finals appearances in 1997 and 1998, but lost to the Chicago Bulls. Stockton has the most assists and steals in NBA history.

JOHN HAVLICEK: The Boston Celtics’ all-time greatest player is one of only four players in league history to win eight or more NBA championships. Only teammates Bill Russell (11) and Sam Jones (10) have more titles than Havlicek, who has made 13 All-Star appearances in 16 NBA seasons.

ISIAH THOMAS: Regarded as one of the greatest point guards in league history, “Bad Boy” Thomas led the Detroit Pistons to back-to-back championships in 1989 and 1990. Thomas was the second overall pick in the 1981 NBA draft. 12-time NBA All-Star and three-time All-NBA First Team honoree.

Pippen’s Chicago Bullsteam teammate and NBA legend Michael Jordan said it best in episode 2 of the documentary The Last Dance.

“Every time they talk about Michael Jordan, they have to talk about Scottie Pippen,” Jordan said. “When everybody says, ‘Well, I won all these championships,’ I couldn’t have won them without Scottie Pippen. That’s why I think he’s the best teammate ever.”

Robinson, nicknamed “The Admiral” while at the United States Naval Academy, went on to become one of the greatest centers in league history.

The only player so far from the Naval Academy to play in the NBA, Robinson joined the Spurs two years after being drafted No. 1 overall in the 1987 NBA draft because he had to fulfill his commitment to the Navy. 🇧🇷 He turned a small-market franchise into an annual contender once his basketball career began.

Robinson is one of only four players to record a quadruple-double in a game. Finished with 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 10 blocks against the Detroit Pistons on February 17, 1994. One of the best players to never win a championship, Barkley was one of the most powerful forwards in NBA history. Listed at 6-foot-6, Barkley was actually closer to 6-foot-4 and averaged 14.6 rebounds per game in the 1986-87 season, the shortest player to lead the NBA in rebounds. The 76ers.

The 1993 NBA MVP, Barkley led the Suns to a league-best record and reached the NBA Finals, but lost to Jordan and the Bulls. When Barkley retired in 2000, he became the fourth player in NBA history to record 20,000+ points, 10,000+ rebounds, and 4,000+ assists. The other three players to accomplish that feat are Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Karl Malone.

Hall of Famer Bill Walton said in an issue of SLAM magazine, which ranked the best athletes in the NBA, “Barkley is like Magic [Johnson] and Larry [Bird] in terms of the position he plays. He plays everything; he plays basketball. There.” Nobody does what Barkley does. “He’s a dominant rebounder, a dominant defender, a three-point shooter, a dribbler and an ace.”

Malone, who played in both the ABA and the NBA, became the first modern player to break into professional basketball straight out of high school and was selected by the Utah Stars in the third round of the 1974 ABA Draft. Malone joined the Buffalo Braves and was traded to the Houston Rockets after two games.

Malone, who averaged more than 20 points per game in 11 straight seasons, also led the league in rebounding six times and averaged career points and rebounds. Malone and fellow Hall of Famer Julius (Dr. J) Erving led the 76ers to an NBA championship in 1983.

Labeled an “aggressive and tenacious player” by the Basketball Hall of Fame website, Malone retired in 1995 as the NBA’s third-leading rebounder and fifth-leading scorer.

A three-time NBA champion and two-time league MVP, Curry is considered by many to be the greatest scorer in NBA history. He has changed the game of basketball since joining the league, and players entering the league often try to emulate his style of play.

In the 2014-15 NBA season, Curry led the Warriors to their first championship since 1975. The following year, Curry led the league in scoring on 50 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and 90 percent . free throw line. The Warriors broke the Chicago Bulls’ record for most wins in a season (73), but lost to the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

Curry missed most of the 2019-20 campaign with a broken left hand, but is expected to return to action in 2020-21. Curry still has a lot of basketball to go up on this list.
