How To Build Elevator In Minecraft Pe – Last Saturday’s workshop focused on making a redstone elevator, and everyone pitched in and made their own version – both cool and creative. But this particular training is my favorite Redstone Active Lift. This upgrade works perfectly on free servers and is fully compatible with 1.1! So, for those who missed the last meeting, feel free to follow the detailed tutorial below to make your own!
You will start by creating an elevator wall. The dimensions must be 4×4 and the height can be anything you choose! Keep in mind that before you choose your building material, we want to mix it with the stairs that we will be adding later.

Add a cover to the floor to show visitors where to stop to open the elevator. I lined the floor with stone bricks.

After you’ve built your wall, you’ll want to add a sign. This is where your button will be placed later.
Next you will need to add your stairs. Stand at the mark you made on the ground earlier and look to your right. Place the ladder there, and continue up the spiral staircase to the top.
(1) Location of the first staircase, (2) View from the outside, (3) Location of the first and second staircase, (4) Location of the third and fourth staircase … Keep going up!
Now you need to add holes. These holes are just a guide to show where the attachment pistons should be placed.

The way this elevator works, a sticky piston pushes one block away from the wall… which causes the player to actually go up—one step at a time. Keep this in mind when making your holes, and it will ensure that you are placing your holes correctly!
When you enter the front door of your elevator, look to the left for the sign below. 1 block up from the ground (2nd block up), is the first hole you have to break. Continue to break 1 hole above your lift.
** NOTE: Keep in mind that the bricks will not push the stairs, they will push the players up the stairs! **
For this step, you will need to add a block at the bottom of each hole you just created in step 4.

Keep in mind that you are not placing the blocks directly behind the holes… you are placing them 1 block below each hole you just made.
Go inside your lift tower, and place 1 sticky piston on each block you just placed in step 5. The sticking pistons will be one block back. See the pictures below to have your say!
You need to close each sticky piston with 1 block back to the tower. It’s a block that is pushed by a piston, and it pushes the player to the stairs!
All you need to do is put the cover behind your button marker (our button marker is red fur). Place a redstone on top of this block, and another redstone 1 block below so that it heats the block below the sticking piston.

Next, stand to the left of the piston that sticks out, and face the left side. Look down, jump and place the redstone repeater. Make sure the redstone repeater is facing left, otherwise it won’t work. Set the repeater to 4 (right click three times on the last setting). I personally like this setup, as it is slow. But feel free to use faster times. If you want to speed up the lift, change the repeaters to 2 (1 click) instead of 4.
Continue connecting the piston that sticks to the redstone and the redstone repeats all the way up. Make sure you are doing a stair-like approach (only option) except for the lift. Keep in mind that the redstone always exerts pressure below the sticking piston – the redstone is not close to the sticking piston.
In summary: Redstone repeaters go left and down one block, and Redstone goes right and down one block. Use the images above if you are concerned about installation.
The last step for you will be to close the wiring, which shouldn’t be too difficult to do. This lift is as compact as it gets, so creating a good looking one shouldn’t be too difficult for you!
