It also gives you more time to think about what you’re going to say next as you speak. As for strict word order, you have to think the whole sentence through before you start speaking. Otherwise, there is a risk of spoiling the structure of the sentence.

With Russian, you can just start speaking with the first word that comes to mind and then add more words on top of it. This frees up your brain’s working memory and helps make your speech more powerful and faster.
