Making this smoothie is as easy as adding milk, yogurt, strawberries and bananas to your blender and blending until smooth. If you are using only fresh fruit, I recommend adding a handful of ice, otherwise it is not necessary.
If your smoothie is too thick and won’t blend, slowly add more liquid until it’s done, or use a tamper to help push everything down and move things around.

For the coldest and creamiest smoothie possible, use quality frozen fruit. Store-bought frozen fruit is a convenient option, especially useful when berry season is long over. Seal bags tightly and freeze forever to avoid frozen, dull-tasting fruit.
Freezing fresh ripe fruit is also easy and is a great option when you’ve run out of strawberries at the supermarket or bought some bananas.
To freeze strawberries: Wash them well, drain them and let them dry completely. Trim and halve the berries and place in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. They will stay for two months.
To freeze bananas: Peel and slice. Place the baking sheet full of fruit in the fridge for at least an hour, or until the fruit is firm. Pour into a ziplock freezer bag, squeeze out the air and seal. Frozen bananas will keep for a month.
