Are you all ready for the 4th of July? We celebrated America just last week, in a non-traditional way with a very important Australian family. We threw the American Girl Doll inspired birthday party for one of our best Australian customers, Yolanda Cerra (aka Kiss Me Kate) and her 5 year old daughter Neveah! We wanted to welcome them to the states with an American theme, and it happened to be little Neveah’s birthday (and she loves DOOLLS)! We used shades of pink and cherry red to create an ombre feel and treats for the birthday girl and her doll. You can make a beautiful tissue paper dahlia by stacking 12 sheets of tissue paper of any color on top of each other. A lot of coat is needed. A bag and a lot of coat. I applied a total of 6 coats of off-the-shelf white latex paint with a satin finish, regular wall paint. Allow to dry between each coat and dry well before the next step.
